Tricep tendinitis - is it just the triceps? Keep reading. Sometimes. Usually theres more. Blasting your triceps several days per week, including overhead skull crushers, is definitely a way to irritate the triceps tendon. But forgetting that the triceps originates in the scapula, is innervated by C7, and requires optimal thoracic mobility and scapular stability to function 100% is a great way to solve half of the issue. Yes, decreasing the load on the triceps (skull crushers) is important to allow things to calm down. But we also need to optimize everything around it. Here's our initial treatments: dry needling triceps, stretching lats/triceps, scraping triceps, scapular exercises (W's and A's). Things are somewhat better. Next session: rhomboid and mid trap soft tissue work and scraping, thoracic joint manipulation, triceps scraping. Continue W's and A's. Now things are really feeling better. Today's session: W's and A's. Thoracic mobility (resisted kneeling open books). Thoracic joint manipulation. Lateral glides C6-7, cervical traction. Rhomboid, mid trap, triceps scraping. #greenoakspt #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapist #tricep #exercise #ptforthewin
HEY… CARROLLTON, TX 📢 We are so excited to introduce you to our newest clinic director, Cameron Parikh, DPT! Cameron attended University of Texas at Arlington for his undergraduate degree and graduated in 2015 with a degree in Exercise Science. He chose to attend the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth and received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2019. He met his wife Kirstein while in PT school and married in 2022. They now have two children together - the most recent being in November 2025! He joined Green Oaks Physical Therapy at the Grand Prairie location right out of school - where he worked as a staff therapist for four years before being promoted to one of the Assistant Directors in 2023. Now, he is excited for the opportunity to lead our Carrollton clinic! When not in the clinic, he says he enjoys reading the Bible, being with his family/friends, and cheering on the local sports teams. #greenoakspt #carrolltontx #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapist #pt #director #carrollton

North Arlington has enjoyed the holiday season with 9 days of holiday cheer and dress up days! 🎄 We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas! May you slow down, enjoy your families, and remember the reason for the season, Jesus! ❤️ #greenoakspt #hysicaltherapy #physicaltherapist #pt #merrychristmas #holidaycheer #jesusisthereason
Can I just say that we feel awful that we left out the peanut butter and chocolate chip cookie 🍪 options on this poll. Your comments have been heard, and we will do better in the future😂. That being said - sugar is still the best 👀. Let us know your favorite holiday cookie ➡️https://nuvi.me/yon98s or comment below. Maybe bring some into the clinic 🤷♀️. We love tasting **cough cough** talking sweet treats over the holidays! 🎄 #christmascookies #baking #holidays #DFWMetroplex
Therapists, if you dread progress notes due to the burden of paperwork and aren’t viewing it as an opportunity to help patients grow, then you may be doing it wrong. Of course you should always be assessing and reassessing. But these are opportunities to dig a little deeper, realign goals, to discuss discharge, or transition to a gym program. Today, this patient shared “I’m scared to walk in my back yard”. That’s not what we like to hear! So we practice 😁 #greenoakspt #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapist #dptstudents #outdoors #healing #dfw

Life has a way of interrupting our plans. Taking us off the rails. And sometimes turning us 180. Randee is a fighter and has come such a long way in the last 12 months. We are so grateful to be supporters in her recovery. #greenoakspt #physicaltherapy #physicaltherapist #godisgood #recovery #strength #dptstudent #caraccident #childofgod
